Greetings Downtown Wakarusa Business Owners, We have some exciting plans this year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Christmas around the tree in downtown Wakarusa! A dedicated committee has been working diligently to make this year’s festivities truly special. One of our key initiatives is to encourage all businesses in Wakarusa to decorate their storefronts. To get everyone into the Christmas spirit, we will be offering a prize for the best-decorated storefront, with the winner being announced during the tree lighting ceremony on Friday, December 6th. An important guideline for decorations is to incorporate stars, as this theme was established when the Christmas tree tradition first began. We also understand that some businesses may be busy and short-staffed. If you’re unable to participate in decorating your storefront, we would be delighted to help with some fun window decorations to ensure that every storefront shines bright for this festive occasion. The festivities will take place on December 6th and 7th. If you cannot participate, please let Shelly know by November 18th at noon, so we can adorn your space with garland and stars.
